Pregnancy

Fertility Tests

Fertility management is about looking at the needs of the woman, or couple. There are a few standard fertility tests which we’ll usually conduct, but our focus is on individualised care. Our first step is the you are contacted by our nurse who will organise the initial tests that you will require for your first appointment.

PCOS

PCOS can be a complex condition to diagnose. There are several symptoms and you don’t have to have them all to be diagnosed with PCOS. ‘Polycystic’ suggests you might have multiple (poly) cysts on your ovaries, however not all women who have PCOS have multiple cysts and not all women who have multiple cysts have PCOS.

Laparoscopic Surgery

Laparoscopic Surgery is also commonly referred to as minimal access surgery, or keyhole surgery. The days of intrusive abdominal surgery with big scars and long recovery times are gone. Laparoscopic surgery involves minimal access via a small abdominal incision.

Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a common problem that affects up to 10 % of all women. There are two main reasons that women seek my help. The first is extremely painful periods that affect their daily life. The second reason is they are having difficulty getting pregnant.

Menopause

There are different stages of menopause. For some women, each stage will be marked with a range of symptoms as they transition through to post-menopause. For other women, their experience might be an easy journey, arriving at post-menopause with nothing more than the knowledge their period has stopped.

Cervical Screening Test

The Cervical Screening Test looks for causes of abnormal cells: the human papillomavirus (HPV). This cervical screening is a fantastic development for Australian women, and it improves early detection of cervical cancer.
